Can I Feed My Baby Honey ?

Mummies especially, please read this.

Honey, no matter which brand or type, should never be given to young babies. Babies under 1 year old must never take honey because their immune system is not fully developed.

Though a small possibility, there is still a chance that some raw agricultural products may contain spores known as clostridium botulinum, remain in the intestines of children under 1 yr.

These spores are harmless in the intestines of adults and older children but they can cause a form of food poisoning known as infant botulism in very young babies.
